Riplo application terms of service

Last updated 14 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the Riplo application at os.riplo.ai (the “Service”), provided by Riplo Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16902933. They are separate from the website terms of use (opens in a new tab), which govern our marketing site.

By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that organisation.

1. These terms and any agreement you have signed

If your organisation has signed a written subscription or enterprise agreement with us, that agreement governs and prevails over these terms wherever the two conflict. These terms apply in full to everyone else, including trial and evaluation use.

2. Accounts and eligibility

  • The Service is for business use by people aged 18 or over. It is not available to consumers acting outside a trade or profession.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly at support@riplo.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Where your account belongs to an organisation's workspace, that organisation's administrators can manage, suspend, or remove your access and can reach content in the workspace.

3. Your content

The Service exists for you to create and edit content: decks, slides, text, images, uploads, notes, and comments (“Your Content”).

  • You own Your Content. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of it to us.
  • You grant us a limited licence to host, store, copy, transmit, render, adapt, and display Your Content, and to create derived artefacts such as exports, thumbnails, and version snapshots — solely to operate and support the Service for you. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in backups or records as described in the privacy notice.
  • We do not use Your Content to train AI models, ours or anyone else's, and we do not sell it.
  • You confirm you have the rights necessary to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for any personal data you put into it.
  • Keep your own copies of anything important. The Service is not a system of record or a backup service.

4. AI features and their output

The Service uses large language models to draft, edit, and review slides, both through Riplo's own AI features and through any external AI assistant you connect.

  • Output can be wrong. AI features generate content probabilistically. Figures, claims, citations, and summaries may be inaccurate or fabricated. You must review output before relying on it or sending it to anyone else.
  • It is not advice. Output is not investment, legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and must not be presented as ours.
  • AI features can change your decks, including overwriting or deleting slides, when you or a connected assistant ask them to. Version history exists to help you recover, but you remain responsible for the instructions you give.
  • Output is not unique. Other users may receive similar output from similar instructions, and we make no claim that output is original or that you can secure exclusive rights in it.
  • Where you connect a third-party assistant, your use of that assistant is governed by your agreement with its provider, and content it reads from Riplo is handled under that provider's terms.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Break the law, infringe others' rights, or upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or malicious code.
  • Attempt to access another organisation's workspace or data, probe or circumvent access controls, or interfere with the Service's operation or security.
  • Reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product, except to the extent the law says you may.
  • Place a disproportionate load on the Service, or scrape it or automate access in ways outside its documented interfaces and connectors.
  • Use AI features to generate deliberately deceptive material or content that impersonates a real person or organisation.

We may investigate suspected breaches and suspend access where necessary to protect the Service or other customers.

6. Our intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, interfaces, and branding, and all rights in it. Feedback you send us is welcome and we may use it freely to improve the Service, without obligation to you and without taking any rights in Your Content.

7. Fees

Paid plans are charged as set out in your order or subscription agreement. Unless that document says otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT and other taxes, are payable in advance, and are non-refundable for the period already invoiced. You agree to keep your billing details accurate.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and improve it continuously, which means features change. We may modify, add, or withdraw features; where a change materially reduces core functionality for a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice.

Maintenance, third-party failures, and incidents can interrupt the Service. Unless your signed agreement includes a service-level commitment, the Service is provided without one. Current status is published at status.riplo.ai (opens in a new tab).

9. Term and termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time. Paid subscriptions end at the close of the current paid term unless your agreement says otherwise.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. Where practical we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem.
  • After termination you can request an export of Your Content for a reasonable period. Data is then deleted in line with the privacy notice.

10. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in these terms or a signed agreement, the Service is provided “as is” and we exclude all implied warranties to the extent the law allows, including implied terms about satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purpose.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that:

  • Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, anticipated savings, or business interruption.
  • We are not liable for loss or corruption of data to the extent it results from your failure to keep your own copies, nor for decisions you take on the basis of AI output you did not verify.
  • Each party's total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of the fees you paid or owed for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or £1,000.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from Your Content, from your use of the Service in breach of these terms, or from your infringement of a third party's rights.

13. Confidentiality and data protection

Each party will protect the other's confidential information and use it only for the purposes of these terms. Where we process personal data on your behalf we do so as your processor, as described in the privacy notice; a separate data processing agreement is available on request from support@riplo.ai.

14. General

  • We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the product or by email, and continued use after they take effect is acceptance. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service.
  • You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them to a group company or in connection with a reorganisation or sale.
  • Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
  • If a provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
  • These terms and any signed agreement are the entire agreement between us on this subject. No partnership or agency is created.
  • No third party has rights to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Before starting proceedings, both parties will try in good faith to resolve the dispute through discussion for at least 30 days.
