v2.56.014 August 2026
More control over tables and images
This release makes tables far more flexible, from cell media and formatting to resizing, transposing, and pasting. Images are easier to replace, crop, and place, while Template Studio and text editing gain more predictable controls.
Highlights
Richer table editing
Add, select, resize, and align icons or logos directly inside table cells. Tables also gain easier resizing, transposing, border painting, and formatting transfer.
Better image workflow
Replace images in place, paste them where your pointer is, and crop them into circles. New uploads appear immediately and stay put while they finish uploading.
Clearer text controls
Insert template-styled text roles from the editor, edit footers directly on slides, and turn text autofit on or off.
More flexible templates
Template Studio now offers more reliable layout guides, safer placeholder positioning, and controls for page numbers and copyright notices.

- Resize an entire table from side handles while keeping its tracks proportional.
- Copy and paste formatting between table ranges and other slide elements.
- Paste table ranges into a table or onto the canvas to create a new table.
images
- Replace a selected image in place from its context menu or by pasting a new image over it.

- Insert deck titles, titles, subtitles, body text, and footers with styles from your deck template.
- Keep deck titles, titles, and footers unique on each slide while preserving the appearance of copied text.
clipboard
- Paste plain text, rich text, or markdown onto the canvas to create theme-styled text and tables.
slides
- Hide or unhide slides from the thumbnail menu or with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+H.
themes
- Edit a deck theme as a draft, then save it when you are ready or close without keeping changes.

- The default template gallery no longer includes the Team slide.
tables
- The table toolbar and right-click menu now organise common table actions more clearly.

Bug fix
19tables
- Media inside table cells keeps its position when nearby cell content changes or when it is moved between cells and the slide.
- Table perimeter borders now render at the same thickness as interior borders.
- Font, size, and highlighting choices persist in empty table cells and apply to text typed next.
- After merging cells, typing returns to the surviving cell as expected.
- Table keyboard navigation and commands keep the range you selected instead of switching to the whole table.
- Pasting a multi-cell range while editing a table cell keeps the full pasted range.
- Manually resized tables retain their dimensions across font changes and reloads.
- Generated tables no longer grow each time a deck is opened.
- Table resizing keeps content visible without overwriting manually chosen sizes.
images
- Cropped images display correctly from the first frame after reopening a deck.
- Filling a resized image placeholder keeps its frame and opens crop mode without stretching the image.
- Dragging an empty image frame no longer opens the file picker when you release it.
- Pasted and dropped images appear immediately and remain on the slide if you navigate away while they upload.
slides
- Hidden slides stay hidden after reopening a deck and when exported to PowerPoint.
- Full-bleed shape outlines render without being cropped in previews, playback, and exports.
templates
- Template footers now reflow around layout panels and return to their original position when those panels are removed.
- Template placeholders remain clickable and template chrome settings save reliably.
ai
- AI-created presentations now return links to the slides they create.
text
- Clicking text opens the caret immediately, placeholder prompts return after clearing text, and autofit can be switched off reliably.
