v2.157.230 October 2026
More control over charts and faster ways to find work
Charts gain more flexible axis breaks, change arrows, labels and styling. Search is faster, Riplo can find relevant slides in earlier decks by topic, and the slide icon library is much larger.
Highlights
More flexible charts
Leave missing values blank, add axis breaks to more chart types, and compare points or segments with adjustable change arrows.
Style chart details
Give an individual bar its own colour, outline chart parts, and copy formatting between charts and shapes.
Reuse earlier slides
Ask Riplo to find slides from past decks by topic, even when your wording differs from the slide.
More slide icons
Choose from about 3,800 line-art icons across more business topics, with improved icon search.

New behaviour
21charts
- Copy formatting between chart parts, whole charts and shapes, including across decks.
- Add coloured, solid, dashed or dotted outlines to individual chart parts.
- Select one bar within a series to give it its own colour or outline.
- Add axis breaks to more charts, including waterfalls and charts whose tallest bar leaves room for a break.
- Break the value axis of line and stacked area charts to spread out widely separated values.
- Add or remove an axis break from the axis itself, including on a bar chart's second value axis.
- Break either axis of a scatter or bubble chart to spread out points clustered beside outliers.
- Leave chart data cells blank so missing values create gaps instead of appearing as zero, including after PowerPoint export or import.
- Add multiple change arrows between chart totals, segments or points, and choose whether each shows a percentage, difference, growth rate or multiple.
- Fill individual chart labels or selected groups of labels with a colour.
- Place a chart legend beside the last column or line endpoint and show each series' growth rate there.
- Attach lines and connectors to bars, segments or pie slices so the lines follow changes to the chart.
- Set separate number formats for a chart's value axes or a scatter chart's horizontal axis.
- Choose whether pie and doughnut labels sit inside or outside their slices.
- Rename a legend entry directly on the chart to update its name in the chart data.
- Press Shift+Enter to add a line break within a chart label, title, total or legend name.
- Charts recognise more year and quarter formats when you paste data or format period labels.
slides
- Choose from about 3,800 line-art icons in four weights, covering more business topics.
- Find icons for terms such as due diligence, tariffs and supply chains.
ai
- Ask Riplo to find slides in past decks by topic, even when your request uses different words.
search
- Search can find matching decks and slides even when you mistype a word.
Performance
2decks
- Decks with many tables load faster with a smaller download.
search
- Search returns deck, slide and logo results sooner, including in large libraries.
UI
23charts
- Axis-break marks use matching parallel slashes on the slide and in PowerPoint.
- Dragging a change arrow shows its destination and label before you release it, with steadier snapping to chart points.
- Change arrows remain selected after you drag an end, with handles aligned to their attachment points.
- Chart label options show an example from your chart beside each content choice.
- Selecting a bar, line or series opens the chart panel with its colour controls first.
- Axis-break edges stay easy to grab at different zoom levels, including on small charts.
- Dragging a legend gives a steadier preview and leaves it where the preview showed it would land.
- Charts on dark cards use light theme text and switch back when moved off the card.
- Bar-width and doughnut-hole handles show their value as you drag.
- Axis-break labels leave room for nearby axis numbers.
- Suggested axis breaks start and end on round numbers.
- Change-arrow brackets have clean corners on slides and in PowerPoint.
- A change arrow's label keeps its font, colour and fill in the drag preview.
- Automatic legend placement looks for free space inside the chart before taking space outside it.
- Chart labels, totals, arrows and legends make better use of crowded space instead of overlapping.
- Legends follow the visible order of stacked series, sorted series and combination charts.
- Multirow legends distribute names more evenly and align them with the legend's position.
- The total above the tallest bar remains visible on small charts.
ai
- Riplo's assistant chooses icons that fit the slide topic more closely.
decks
- Rename decks, teams and library items where their names appear instead of opening a separate window.
editor
- Linked padding and aspect-lock buttons turn purple while they are on.
slides
- Icons already on slides appear in the new line-art style while keeping their meaning, colour and weight.
templates
- Library items have a separate Edit tags option.
Bug fix
23charts
- Dragging a change arrow's end no longer moves the chart.
- Change arrows comparing segments keep both ends on matching segments and identify the series they measure.
- Chart outlines and individual bar colours survive PowerPoint export and import.
- Deleting a chart series no longer shifts later series' colours and label styling onto their neighbours.
- Pasting new chart data preserves each series' markers, trendline, label position and hidden state.
- Mixed positive and negative values in stacked waterfall and mekko charts display consistently on slides and in PowerPoint.
- The outline dash menu works inside chart right-click panels.
- A chart label keeps the exact text colour you choose rather than switching it to black or white.
- Axis breaks stay between data values rather than covering a point or its label.
- Chart labels typed over by hand reset to the updated value or name when the underlying data changes.
- Bar charts with axis breaks export to PowerPoint with their break marks, lines and waterfall connectors in place.
- Doughnut charts retain their centre total in PowerPoint exports.
- Percentage labels no longer show a number-scale note.
- Heatmap cell labels follow the chart's data-label colour when it remains readable.
- Turning a chart with a second value axis on its side keeps that series on its own scale.
- A second value axis shows its own scale note and retains its number format in PowerPoint.
- Bold, italic, size and colour settings apply to pie and doughnut labels on slides and in PowerPoint.
- Pressing Escape while editing a chart label cancels the edit.
- Arrow keys move a selected chart, and Shift with an arrow key resizes it.
clipboard
- Text pasted from a dark card with Match theme takes the right colour for its new background.
editor
- With padding linked, entering the value an edge already shows updates all four edges.
home
- Renaming a deck, team, design pack, template or your name saves the edit when you click away.
slides
- Hovering over slide history previews off-slide content that would return with the selected version.
