Slide editing feels more natural

New handles give you finer control over circles, rings and Harvey balls, while text on solid cards stays readable as designs change. You can also paste straight into Ask Riplo, and AI editing tasks are easier to follow.

Highlights

  • More precise shapes

Drag a circle’s rim to make a sector or its inner handle to make a ring. Hold Shift when you want the adjustment to snap to quarters.

  • Readable card text

Text on a solid card chooses a contrasting colour and keeps up when you change themes or switch between light and dark modes.

  • Paste into Ask

Paste text or an image straight into the closed Ask Riplo bar. Chat opens with every line intact or the image attached.

  • Clearer AI handoffs

When an Ask request moves to Edit, you see your original request and a chance to cancel. Follow-up messages show when they’re queued.

New behaviour

9

ai

  • Paste multiline text into the closed Ask Riplo bar to open chat with every line preserved.
  • Paste an image into the closed Ask Riplo bar to open chat with the image attached.
  • Once an Ask request switches to Edit, your next message continues in Edit.

slides

  • Drag a circle’s rim handle to make a sector at any angle, or hold Shift to snap to quarters.
  • Drag the inner handle of a circle or ellipse to make a ring with an adjustable hole.
  • Set a Harvey ball to any fill percentage by dragging its handle, holding Shift to snap to quarters.

text

  • Text placed on a solid card picks a readable light or dark colour that follows theme, colour-mode and branding changes.
  • Footers and page numbers on templates and new, imported or AI-edited slides also adjust to the card beneath them.
  • Undo a card’s automatic text-colour change separately from the move that triggered it.

UI

10

ai

  • Before an Ask request switches to Edit, its original wording appears with a five-second countdown and a Cancel link.
  • An Ask request you have already approved with “go ahead” switches to Edit immediately without a countdown.
  • A clear divider separates an Ask reply from the Edit task that follows it.
  • An AI change summary stays beneath the message that made the changes while Riplo works.
  • Follow-up messages sent while Riplo AI is working show a dashed Queued state.
  • Consecutive AI thinking updates appear as one descriptively named step instead of repeated “Thought” rows.
  • While Riplo AI is thinking, its current work appears once in the status line rather than repeating beneath it.
  • A failed AI task ends on its error message rather than another thinking update.

decks

  • The loading message appears only when a deck takes more than a moment to open.
  • When a deck is loading, the message sits in the middle of the slide instead of at the bottom of the screen.

Bug fix

9

ai

  • Icons, indicators and logos added to table cells by Riplo AI use valid names, avoiding blank cells and lost symbols.
  • Icons and logos use consistent names in manually edited tables and other AI edits.

slides

  • Dragging a Harvey ball’s fill handle past the top stops at full or empty instead of jumping across the range.
  • Adjustment handles on small shapes stay grabbable instead of disappearing too early.

text

  • Text on a card keeps its colour when you resize its box across the card’s edge.
  • Text on partial circles and rings chooses its colour from the visible shape rather than the shape’s outer box.

decks

  • A deck imported from Home opens as soon as its first slides are ready instead of leaving you on Home.

exports

  • Downloading a deck as PDF or PowerPoint works on the first try after you return to its tab, even while the connection reconnects.

tables

  • A table broken into shapes keeps its theme colours when you change the theme or an accent, while text you coloured yourself keeps its colour.
