Riplo AI puts your past work to work

Riplo AI can build from slides in your previous decks and create fuller slides grounded in researched figures. AI tasks are easier to follow and review, with ways to preview and revert changes. This release also adds more control over shapes and charts.

Highlights

  • Reuse past slides

Ask Riplo AI to build from work in another deck, or point it to a deck or slide with @. You can see the sources it used and choose whether to keep the originals as hidden references.

  • Review AI changes

See which slides Riplo changed, step through them in deck order, and preview or revert its work from the task card.

  • Richer slide content

Riplo AI researches figures before building and makes fuller slides with a data exhibit and quantified takeaways. Short requests produce fewer, more substantial slides.

  • More shape control

Adjust several selected shapes together, flip shapes by dragging a resize handle, and snap lines to nearby content.

ai

  • Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor through Riplo's sign-in page using your usual sign-in options.
  • Choose which organization a connected AI app works in when you approve the connection.
  • Choose whether slides reused by Riplo AI or a connected AI app keep their originals as hidden references.
  • Surprise me on an empty slide creates a researched, cited showcase slide and gives you a different idea on the next press.
  • Search and navigate AI tasks from the keyboard: use the task shortcut, Down to enter the list, Enter to open a task and Left to return.
  • Ask Riplo AI to reuse slides from previous decks, or type @ to point it to a deck or slide; it rebuilds the work in your current deck's look.
  • See which previous decks informed an AI answer, with source-slide thumbnails and links back to those decks.
  • AI slide review flags text that still shows raw HTML tags.
  • Use Next change on a finished task to visit each slide Riplo changed that you have not yet reviewed.
  • Revert an AI task's edits to a slide, or remove a slide the task added, from its task card.
  • Revert all slides changed by one AI task from the task card's menu.
  • Hover over an AI task's Revert or Remove slide action to preview the result before choosing it.
  • Undo a task revert for eight seconds after you make it.
  • Open a slide's AI task directly from the status chip on its thumbnail.
  • Ask the AI assistant to add and style several CAGR arrows on a chart.

slides

  • Hide the note above a reference slide without removing the reference, and bring the note back with undo.
  • Showing a hidden reference slide turns it into an ordinary slide that Riplo AI can find and reuse.
  • Adjust several selected shapes of the same kind at once by dragging a yellow handle on any one of them.
  • Drag a chevron's yellow handle to switch between a flat start and a notch that matches its tip.
  • Flip a shape or group by dragging a resize handle past the opposite edge, while text, tables and charts stay readable.
  • Snap a line's length to the width or height of nearby content, or use a line as a size target when resizing something else.

home

  • Your learning-deck onboarding task completes automatically a few seconds after your first edit.
  • The theme onboarding task opens a theme editor, including a personal theme editor for people who cannot edit the workspace default.
  • New accounts created on a phone open their welcome deck after the welcome letter, while people joining through a shared deck still open that deck.
  • Add your name from Home or change it from the account menu instead of entering it during sign-up.
  • Finishing the connection to your AI app from the sidebar or Settings completes its onboarding task.

sharing

  • A deck invitation takes its recipient through Riplo sign-in and then straight to the invited deck.
  • Choose which categories of Riplo email you receive, or turn off all non-essential email, in notification settings.
  • Resend a pending deck invitation from Manage access or a pending guest invitation from Teams.
  • Pending invitations get a reminder after three days, and sharing again renews an expired invitation.
  • Sharing a deck with a teammate by name emails them a link to it.

app

  • Create an account or sign in on Riplo with email and password or Google.
  • If you have forgotten your password, sign in with a code sent to your email.
  • Safari on Apple devices can fill a sign-in code from Apple Mail.

charts

  • Show actual values, percentages or both on data labels in 100% stacked and Mekko charts.
  • Set chart totals to show their actual value instead of only 100%.
  • Add several CAGR arrows to one chart, each with its own span, label and style, including in PowerPoint downloads.

exports

  • Flipped shapes keep their orientation in PowerPoint downloads and when imported back into Riplo.

status

  • The status page shows current service health when you open it and updates while you keep it open.

teams

  • People receive an email when they are added to a team or when their guest membership becomes full membership.

Performance

4

decks

  • Large decks show their layout and the slide you opened sooner, with the remaining slides following afterward.
  • The editor uses substantially less memory when opening and scrolling through a large deck.

search

  • Search responds much faster, especially to multi-word queries and in libraries with long slides.
  • Slide search responds to your latest keystroke instead of waiting behind earlier searches.

UI

40

ai

  • AI-built content slides pair a real-data exhibit with two or three takeaways that each include a figure.
  • A short or vague AI request produces fewer, fuller slides rather than many thin ones.
  • Figures the AI cannot source are marked as estimates with a method or as not disclosed.
  • After building several slides, Riplo AI checks that their titles form a coherent sequence and state findings.
  • Multi-slide AI plans lead with the answer and supporting points, use finding-led titles and open longer decks with an executive summary.
  • Sparse AI-built slides make better use of their space with compact takeaways, recommendations, statistics and timelines.
  • Short lists on AI-built slides stay together beneath their heading or sit centred when they have no heading.
  • Grouped tables built by the AI use more consistent bullets, group labels and icons.
  • Subtitles in side-by-side blocks on AI-built slides stay the same height.
  • AI-built slides no longer add an unnecessary “Key:” caption before an indicator key.
  • AI slide layouts avoid putting new content over the footer or using label boxes without labels.
  • When a slide would suit a side-panel template better, the assistant asks before moving it.
  • Running a plan or choosing suggestions shows your choices as a checklist, with skipped options greyed out.
  • AI tasks say when they are searching previous decks rather than using a generic activity label.
  • Source details appear after the AI's output and show whether original slides were inserted.
  • A task card puts a question and its choices together when Riplo needs your input.
  • The task reply box expands when you start typing and folds back to one line when empty.
  • Task steps describe what Riplo is doing, such as researching, planning, building or reviewing.
  • A task's status and elapsed time include the time Riplo spends thinking between steps.
  • The task list groups work for this slide and other slides, putting tasks that need you first.
  • Slide thumbnails show when Riplo is working, needs you or has changes you have not reviewed.
  • A notice points you to a task on another slide when it needs your input.
  • Revert warns you when restoring a slide would also remove edits you made afterward.

app

  • The AI connection guide includes the current setup steps for Claude and the ChatGPT desktop app.
  • Sign-up shows only unmet password requirements after you try to continue and points out a mistyped email in the form.
  • Notices use consistent status marks and keep their message, action and close control on one line.
  • Sign-in and account-creation pages have roomier fields, shorter messages and a clearer Google button.
  • Password managers show the Riplo logo beside a saved Riplo login.
  • Riplo's emails use shorter, clearer wording.
  • Sign-in and account emails use Riplo's look and state how long a code or link lasts.

charts

  • Long category labels wrap within their available space or tilt when they cannot fit.
  • Chart arrows end cleanly at their arrowheads.

home

  • Get help stays in the bottom-right corner as you scroll Home.
  • The AI connection prompt names Claude and ChatGPT.

slides

  • The welcome deck on a phone explains that Riplo Slides is made for desktop.
  • Yellow adjustment handles show drag-direction arrows and a label with the current value.

decks

  • While a large deck loads, Riplo shows how many slides are still arriving.

editor

  • The theme and template bar moves the AI chat bar out of its way on a new deck.

search

  • Search shows loading placeholders and places matching decks before their slides as results arrive.

sharing

  • External deck invitations name the deck and the access granted instead of reading like a generic organization invitation.

Bug fix

28

ai

  • Riplo AI no longer searches the public web for material about your own team, roadmap or agenda.
  • Text the AI writes as HTML appears formatted on the slide instead of showing raw tags.
  • When a collaborator is editing an element, an AI task identifies the changes it could not make and keeps the changes it completed.
  • The task shortcut opens AI chat even while the theme and template bar is showing on a new deck.
  • Reworking existing slides through an AI plan changes those slides in place instead of adding blank ones.
  • The change chip above a slide opens its AI task without also opening slide history.
  • AI layout tidy-ups keep panels and dividers you deleted.
  • When the AI adds a sourced chart or block to an existing slide, it can add the citation to the footer.
  • AI slide edits accept short table text that fits and common alternative names for text content.
  • The AI can correct an attempted move into a slide's footer area using the available space.

slides

  • Editors can see hidden slides on a phone, dimmed and marked, instead of landing on an empty-deck message.
  • A cover title that wraps onto a second line no longer overlaps its subtitle.
  • Re-laying out a slide no longer duplicates its source line.
  • A curved line's selection box follows the bend, so grouping, snapping and alignment use the whole curve.
  • Indicator keys keep quarter and three-quarter Harvey ball fills and update default labels when a mark changes.
  • Double-clicking an indicator no longer changes its value unexpectedly.
  • Opening the Library from a gap in the slide rail inserts slides at that gap.

charts

  • Chart labels, totals and axes round to at most two decimal places instead of showing long decimal values.
  • A chart's Edit data button works with one click even when another element covers that corner of the chart.
  • Shift+Enter again adds a line break to a chart category name on the chart and in its data sheet.
  • A CAGR arrow and a change bracket meeting at the same bar no longer overlap.
  • Growth arrows on short charts tuck closer to the bars and keep their labels nearer the middle.

exports

  • Line and area charts in PowerPoint downloads extend to the chart edges as they do in the editor.
  • Area charts in PowerPoint downloads keep their translucent fill so gridlines remain visible.
  • 100% bar and area charts in PowerPoint downloads fill the chart correctly, with stacks shown as shares from 0% to 100%.

text

  • Text beginning with a tilde keeps its bold lead-in instead of showing formatting marks.
  • Replacing all the text in a table cell or text box keeps its formatting.

home

  • Maybe later on the AI connection onboarding card works after onboarding changes in another tab.
