v2.118.11 October 2026
PowerPoint slides, closer to the original
PowerPoint imports now preserve more of the charts, images and formatting you expect, including editable waterfall and larger charts. Search is better at finding the right deck, and you have more control over links and tables in the editor.
Highlights
More editable charts
Built-in PowerPoint waterfall charts and charts with many bars or series now import as editable Riplo charts instead of empty spaces or frames.
Find the right deck
Search can match words across a deck’s name, owner and slides, even when the words aren’t next to each other. The best match comes first.
Restyle slide links
Change a link’s text colour, including its underline, or turn the underline off and back on from the toolbar.
Finer table control
Shorten merged rows by dragging their bottom edge, or make empty rows and columns into thin spacers.

New behaviour
12search
- Find decks using words from their name, owner or slides, even when the words are not next to each other.
- See up to 20 search results instead of eight.
- Move through search results with the arrow keys and open the highlighted deck with Enter.
- Hear search results announced as a list and the highlighted deck named as you move through it with a screen reader.
charts
- Import PowerPoint’s built-in waterfall charts as editable Riplo charts, with their totals, colours and labels.
- Import PowerPoint charts with more than 16 bars or six series as editable charts.
slides
- Imported PowerPoint titles with a background fill now use the slide’s title slot, so you can work with them like titles made in Riplo.
- Imported PowerPoint footnote and source lines now use the slide’s footnote slot.
tables
- Drag the bottom edge of a merged table row upward to shorten it.
- Drag an empty table row or column down to a thin line to use it as a spacer.
text
- Change a slide link’s text colour from the toolbar, including the colour of its underline.
- Turn a slide link’s underline off and back on from the toolbar.
UI
5ai
- If the AI service remains busy, you see a specific message asking you to try again in a moment.
search
- Search results show whether they matched a deck’s name, owner or slide text.
sharing
- The banner on a shared deck explains that an account lets visitors edit, export and create slides.
slides
- Imported PowerPoint bullets keep the spacing between a bullet and its first sub-bullet.
tables
- Table-wide controls are greyed out while a collaborator edits a cell, and explain why they are unavailable.
Bug fix
48charts
- Imported PowerPoint charts with a manually sized plot area keep the placement and size of their bars, lines and pies.
- Blank spacer columns in imported PowerPoint charts no longer receive a stray number label.
- Imported PowerPoint chart labels keep text attached to their number format, such as the percent sign in “5.1%”.
- Imported PowerPoint bar charts that use empty series for spacing keep their bar widths and highlighted bars.
- Imported PowerPoint combo charts no longer add extra decimals to bar labels because a line uses a different format.
- Imported PowerPoint pie and doughnut charts show each slice’s value, share of the whole, or both, as shown in the source.
- Imported PowerPoint charts with an axis pinned to zero scale their bars against that zero-based axis.
- Imported PowerPoint waterfall steps with hidden base bars float in place instead of sitting on visible dark columns.
- Individually formatted labels on imported PowerPoint charts keep their number formats, including percent signs.
- Imported PowerPoint charts display labels taken from cells, including their source colour.
- Each series in an imported PowerPoint combo chart keeps its own label format, such as percentages on a line above whole-number bars.
- Imported PowerPoint pie charts without slice names retain their full size.
- Imported PowerPoint bars with an outline but no fill no longer appear solid black.
- Dates along the bottom of imported PowerPoint charts display as dates instead of long numbers.
- Imported PowerPoint charts displayed in thousands or millions keep those units in their printed values.
- Whole-number axes on imported PowerPoint charts no longer add an unnecessary “.0” to every tick.
- Imported PowerPoint chart axes keep spacing suited to the chart’s size and respect manually set endpoints.
- Imported PowerPoint charts no longer print labels for series whose labels were switched off.
- A series that starts partway through an imported PowerPoint chart displays its values against the right dates or categories.
- Imported PowerPoint chart legends keep their position and layout beside the chart instead of moving across the top or below it.
- Imported PowerPoint pie and doughnut charts keep different colours for individual slices.
- Imported PowerPoint chart labels and legends keep their original text size, colour and weight.
- Imported PowerPoint charts keep separate bars that share the same label instead of folding them into one.
slides
- A shape copied by option-dragging no longer gets stuck on every slide or resists deletion.
- Imported PowerPoint slides keep their gradient backgrounds instead of replacing them with a flat colour.
- Imported PowerPoint harvey balls keep their wedge on the same side instead of appearing mirrored.
- Imported PowerPoint chord shapes retain their outline instead of becoming small rings.
- PowerPoint shapes and pictures extending beyond a slide’s edge keep their full size and are cropped by the edge instead of being squashed.
- Imported PowerPoint braces, geometric shapes and flowchart shapes retain their shapes instead of becoming rectangles.
- Imported PowerPoint shapes and chart bars with patterned fills use the pattern’s blended colour instead of the theme’s default colour.
tables
- A table cell whose text just fits its column no longer makes its row an extra line tall.
- Adding a row or column beside a merged cell inserts one, rather than one for every row or column the cell spans.
- Font-size shortcuts preserve mixed text sizes in a table cell, changing each run from its own size.
- Border presets on chevron cells draw the selected edges instead of outlining every arrow.
- Imported PowerPoint tables keep each cell’s margins so numbers do not wrap unnecessarily or run off the slide.
- After you change table rows or columns from the toolbar, the cursor returns to the cell you were editing so your next keystroke appears there.
ai
- A brief interruption from the AI service no longer ends your prompt immediately; Riplo retries before giving up.
- Riplo AI waits longer for a slow response instead of ending the prompt as stalled.
- Riplo AI can refer to its latest slide reviews in follow-up messages, including when you ask it to compare what it just saw.
- A selected text box no longer shows a conflict prompt each time Riplo AI writes into it.
images
- PowerPoint pictures saved as WMF or TIFF import instead of going missing.
- Imported PowerPoint photos keep their original gradient fades instead of looking washed out or uniformly dark.
- Photos flipped in PowerPoint stay flipped when imported.
text
- Blank lines in imported PowerPoint shapes take up one line of space instead of pushing the text below them too far down.
- Imported PowerPoint text keeps its single-line spacing so long passages and lists stay aligned with nearby slide content.
- Imported PowerPoint text keeps superscripts and subscripts, such as m² and CO₂.
search
- Search puts the best match first rather than favouring decks you opened recently.
- Common words and stray single letters no longer narrow a deck search to nothing.
