More control, truer slides
PowerPoint imports preserve more of the original design, while new chart controls let you fine-tune individual bars and labels. You can also add images through Claude, recreate editable content from an image already on a slide, and keep links clickable when sharing or exporting.
Highlights
Truer PowerPoint imports
Imported slides keep more of their original images, charts and layouts. When attaching a PowerPoint in chat, you can choose its design or your deck’s theme.
Precise chart styling
Highlight a single bar or format the chart text you select without changing every label.
Images through Claude
Ask Claude to put one of your image files on a slide. Riplo AI can also recreate an image already on a slide as editable content.
Links that travel
Open slide links in shared decks, and keep them clickable in PowerPoint and PDF exports.

New behaviour
16ai
- Upload your own image through Claude and place it on a slide at its original proportions.
- Ask Riplo AI to recreate an image already on a slide as editable content, even without attaching it to your message.
- Ask Riplo AI to make an image greyscale or restore its colour.
charts
- Click a bar in a one-series chart to highlight just that bar, with the highlight preserved through series recolouring and PowerPoint export.
- Format an individual chart label, axis tick, title or legend entry, or Shift-click to format several at once.
- Edit a scatter chart’s horizontal-axis numbers directly, just like its vertical-axis numbers.
images
- Right-click an image to make it greyscale or restore its colour.
- Greyscale images retain their appearance in tables, presentations, shared decks and exports.
- Copy an image’s greyscale styling to another image with the format painter.
slides
- After adding slides from search, paste or duplicate, immediately move, copy or delete the selected group with the keyboard.
- Choose whether a PowerPoint attached in chat keeps its original design or adopts your deck’s theme.
- Slides imported using your deck’s theme continue to follow later theme-colour changes.
app
- Dismiss a notification with its close button.
editor
- While editing linked text, see its address and open the link from the editor.
exports
- Links remain clickable in exported PowerPoint and PDF files.
sharing
- Open links on slides in a shared deck with a click or tap.
Performance
2ai
- Riplo AI starts analysing an attached image as soon as you send your message, so image-based recreations begin sooner.
slides
- PowerPoint slides containing maps made of thousands of outlines import faster.
UI
19charts
- Imported chart bars retain their original width, and labels sit where the PowerPoint places them.
- Axis labels hidden in a PowerPoint chart stay hidden after import.
- Chart axis limits apply when you press Enter or leave the field; Escape cancels an edit, and invalid limits show an explanation.
- Data labels switch to a readable colour when your chosen colour would disappear against a bar, then return to your colour when the contrast allows it.
- Chart menus identify what will be hidden and consistently call data-label placement Label position.
- Chart sorting menus clearly identify the option that returns categories to data-sheet order.
- Timeline menus show Monday and Sunday as the week-start choices.
- Chart menu actions for hiding, clearing, resetting and deleting have distinct icons.
slides
- Clicking the slide canvas or pressing Escape resets a multi-slide selection to the current slide.
- Maps imported from PowerPoint stay sharp, with borders that retain their original thickness.
- The inline slide viewer has one Open in Riplo button for the slide you are viewing.
- The inline slide viewer tells you when its host cannot open a slide link.
sharing
- Manage access no longer labels the Can view option as coming soon.
- Shared decks show your organisation’s name in the copyright footer instead of a placeholder.
text
- Very large text on imported PowerPoint slides retains its original size.
- Box-style bullets imported from PowerPoint appear as squares rather than dots.
ai
- After a PowerPoint import, Riplo AI tidies overflowing text, cramped tables and altered chart details without changing slides that imported cleanly.
decks
- Decks without a name display as Untitled presentation across Riplo instead of showing a blank title.
images
- Background photos imported from PowerPoint retain their original cropping instead of being squeezed into their frames.
Bug fix
28charts
- Charts imported from PowerPoint display numbers in their original formats, such as percentages and currency, instead of raw decimals.
- Imported chart axes retain the ranges shown in PowerPoint.
- Lines measured against a right-hand axis in PowerPoint remain on that axis after import.
- Imported floating bars keep their positions, and horizontal bars keep their order.
- Charts remain inside their frames when an axis limit excludes some of the data.
- Your chosen data-label colour applies to line and scatter charts.
- Pie and doughnut slice colours match between the slide, colour picker and PowerPoint export.
- Renaming a chart category on the slide also updates its name in the data sheet.
- Text you type over an axis number stays with that number when the axis rescales.
- Axis titles can be changed from bold to regular text.
- Changing a heatmap’s colour works from any row.
slides
- In Safari, the current slide’s thumbnail remains visible after you reorder slides with the keyboard and click the slide.
- Your selected slides stay selected when a collaborator adds, removes or reorders other slides.
- Page numbers imported from PowerPoint display as live numbers in their original place and style, even after slides move.
- Slides imported with their PowerPoint design retain logos, photo panels and backgrounds from the original layouts.
- Riplo’s own logo and page number stay off slides imported with their PowerPoint design.
- Shapes hidden in the original PowerPoint remain hidden after import.
- Cover titles remain visible in front of their background photos after a PowerPoint import.
- The Open in Riplo button in an inline slide viewer opens the slide again.
tables
- Pasting multiple lines while typing in a table cell keeps them in that cell instead of spreading them across rows.
- Cmd/Ctrl+Arrow jumps to the start or end of a line while you type in a table cell.
- Photos and logos placed in table cells retain their proportions and crops on the slide and in exports.
ai
- Riplo AI can finish reading dense images, including detailed table screenshots, when recreating a slide.
- Riplo AI follow-up replies work in longer conversations instead of failing with an error.
app
- The Saved already notification clears on its own after a saving notification.
clipboard
- Pasting empty text placeholders onto a slide with matching text no longer adds stray boxes or shifts the other pasted content.
exports
- SVG icons in downloaded PowerPoint decks display in Google Slides and older PowerPoint versions instead of appearing as broken images.
images
- Photos saved as Windows metafiles in older PowerPoint decks appear on imported slides instead of going missing.
